At Aksiio, we believe that mass customization is an integral part of Industry 4.0. Personalized products that offer superior quality, fit, and comfort can be manufactured faster, for less money.
Currently we’re working on one of our commercial projects on personalized automatic cast creation. And I would like to share our interim results.
In the video below you can see that given a template mesh of the hand, with known key points positions, automatically find their corresponding positions on the scanned mesh of a patient.
Finding key points is done using iterative rigid and non-rigid methods that deform the original template mesh to fit the scanned mesh. These key points are then used to guide the software that creates cast for the hand.
